It’s a genuinely exciting moment to see my name in the Golden Transcript as an official candidate for our City Council.

When my wife Stephanie and I chose to build our life and raise our two daughters here in Golden over 19 years ago, we did it for the deep sense of community you can’t find anywhere else. That commitment to protecting and improving our community is the entire reason I’m running.

Seeing my candidacy confirmed in our paper of record isn’t just a formality for me; it feels like another important step on a journey I’ve been on for years—a journey of service, including:

• Serving as president of a 300-family swim club dedicated to serving our youth in Golden and surrounding communities,
• Chairing the city’s Campaign Finance Committee, and
• Serving on the board of On Tap Credit Union to help local families and businesses achieve their financial goals.

The campaign is just getting started, and I’m looking forward to the many conversations we’ll have as neighbors in the weeks ahead about Golden’s future. Thank you for being a part of it.
