It’s Never Been About Politics

As this campaign gets to the finish line, it’s given me time to reflect.

I was looking back at photos and found these two. The first is from the first day of Golden High School this year. A proud dad with his two amazing daughters—one starting her journey as a freshman, the other finishing hers as a senior. It’s that bittersweet mix of nostalgia and excitement that every parent knows.

The second is from my first run for City Council back in 2017. My daughters, so much younger then, intently watching their dad at a candidates’ forum on TV. I’ll keep that photo forever because it’s a constant reminder of what this has always been about.

It’s never been about politics. It’s about the kind of Golden we are building for them, and for every family in our community.

This journey started years ago, not with an agenda, but with a commitment to serve my friends and neighbors that I’ve known for two decades.

That commitment is stronger today than it has ever been.

When you fill out your ballot, I hope you’ll consider your neighbor who truly understands what it means to live in Golden, has spent two decades listening to friends and neighbors, and cares deeply about Golden’s future.

Vote Dan Sung for Golden. Let’s finish what we started, together.
